Honeymoon Cove-Puerto Escondido

17 April 2022 - We spoke with the office at Marina Puerto Escondido yesterday afternoon about some other matter and they told us we could come into the marina a couple of days early. We were not prepared to move late in the afternoon on short notice so we advised them we would move over on the 17th, one day early.

And so, on the 16th we readied the boat and on the 17th, after breakfast and at a decent hour, with the anchorage as still as a mill pond, we weighed the anchor and motored the three miles across to Puerto Escondido marina. It is a fine anchorage, mooring field and marina, very well protected and enclosed. We stopped first at the fuel dock around 0845 and topped off all our diesel tanks. While we waited for fuel we found our slip, found it was occupied and so got assigned another slip. By 1000 we were tied up in our new slip. We plugged in shore power, got the boat taken care of, then in the evening we took showers then had a fine dinner at the marina restaurant and walked around the marina as well. We relaxed in this lovely facility and got a lot done. We rented a car through the marina and went into Loreto to reprovision, driving some of the same highway we did before on our trip to San Diego, including the overlook at Chuenque where they have Mary in a cage.
