August 2021 – Jimena and I are taking time to visit aging parents and family and friends before we get off sailing. This is the first time we have had the ability to do this since I quit working and as time and tide wait for no man, it is a good opportunity of which we are taking advantage. Jimena went to visit her mom and her family, I went to visit my parents, family and friends in the Old Country. I will go with my dad to ALL of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) football games this season. My dad is a nut about Ole Miss football as was his dad before him and I have fond memories of going to Ole Miss football games with my dad and granddad when I was small. My parents gave me The Last Season by Stuart Stevens, wherein the author took his dad to Ole Miss football games during the last season his dad would’ve been able to go to them. I figured this was a grand plan and my parents went along with it.

Coincidentally this block of time lines up almost exactly with the SE Northern Pacific hurricane season so this also keeps us out of harm’s way for awhile.

But Ole Miss will always be the Rebels.
