5 June 2022 - After getting the run around from the very few (pair) of rental car companies in Puerto Peñasco (we do, we don’t, maybe we will, maybe we won’t have a car to rent you) I took a shuttle/taxi relay up to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and rented a car, drove down to Gila Bend (the Port of Entry was closed by then so I just stayed in the hotel in Gila Bend that we were already paying for) then drove the next day into Puerto Peñasco. We loaded up the Michin and all the stuff we took off the boat, and Beverly Hills’ed our way back into the US of A.

We stayed a couple of days at the Space Age Lodge in Gila Bend, relaxed, soaked in the jacuzzi, swam in the pool and read.

After a few days R&R in Gila Bend we were pulled out of GB by Don, a good samaritan and friend of my dad’s, and taken to his house, then we made our 9long) way back to the Old Country for a visit.

So we will be off of this blog for several months until we go back to the boat in the fall. The tracker will show Antoinette sitting immobile in Astilleres Cabrales botyard, Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico until we can launch her again.
