From Shilshole Bay to Point Hudson
20240912 – we departed Shilshole Bay Marina uneventfully and early then motored all the way up to Point Hudson Marina in Port Townsend at the northern extremity of Puget Sound on a mostly favorable current.
After I missed a couple of tries backing into our assigned slip, I drove in bow first and we got tied up fine.
We walked into town and went to Don’s Drugstore where we bought combs, soluble fiber and antacids.
We took showers which cost a couple of bucks in quarters then walked back down to the boat refreshed and reinvigorated.
In the evening, we walked up to the head and saw a racoon on the rocks at low tide.
We hit the rack early for another early departure on the morrow. Tomorrow will be our longest leg of this part of the trip, from Point Hudson to Roche Harbor.
