Landed Shilshole Bay
Where we arrived in Seattle’s Shilshole Bay marina and ended our passage with a great sigh of relief.
Strait of Juan de Fuca

Sailing with Whales
Where 4-5 Sei whales swam with us just as dolphins would.
The North Pacific
Where we watched and sailed and ate and slept, and watched and sailed and ate and slept, etc, etc, etc.
Halfway
Where we crossed the halfway mark as best as we could tell, marked the moment with a bottle of Prosecco and cheese and crackers, then got on with it
Windows in Honolulu
Where we parked Antoinette and the Michin on the Waikiki Yacht Club’s B dock, swapped crew, rested and re-provisioned in Honolulu.
Back to the boat
Where we checked out of the hotel, moved back to the boat, saw the King Kamehameha Day Parade and the Ala Moana Hula show
The Crew’s Day
Where we celebrated our new crew’s day with a hike on the north shore of Oahu
And Here We Sit, Again
Where we cooled our heels and waited for favorable winds and seas to go back to the mainland.
Landed Hawaii
Where we sailed through the Molokai Channel, rounded Diamond Head, furled sails and motored into Ala Wai Harbor, making landfall after 25 days at sea.
Land Ho!
Where Jimena won the silver dollar promised to him/her who first spotted land when she spied Maui on the morning of our 24th day at sea.
Sailing out to Hawaii

Our time in La Cruz and Mexico winds down
Where we wound down our stay in Mexico and prepared for our first long passage from Banderas Bay out to Honolulu, HI
In La Cruz. Still
Where we waited for a weather window to cross the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii and saw off two boats of friends to French Polynesia.
In La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Still.
Where we waited more for a good weather window, Jimena returned, and we got even more done to prepare the boat for crossing the Pacific
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit, Mexico
Where we waited for weather and worked on the boat, Jimena went to Colombia to visit family and we got things done.
Moving to La Cruz
Where we upped anchor and moved 9 NM east to the Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
Crossing to the Mainland
Where we jumped from Baja to mainland Mexico at Banderas Bay; out of the Sea of Cortez and back into the Pacific Ocean; and out of sight of land for the longest time yet.
