Christmas Eve Puerto Escondido
24 December 2022 - Twas the night before Christmas and all through the boat, only Michin was mamoniado to keep us awake. We had returned the stand-in rental hoopty and loaded all our loot into the boat. We dined for brunch at La Brisa (service was tepid as ever) and talked with family from overseas.
In the night we enjoyed cheese and crackers, chocolate and Prosecco to celebrate baby Jesus’ birth. We knew he would want it that way.
The wind got up in the day and kept up all night, pushing us around in the slip and rattling halyards. That mattered not, we slept the sleep of the dead while Old Saint Nick came and went.
