Sailing Antoinette

San Diego USA

26 February 2022 - We spent a week in the USA doing some errands, picking up some parts for Antoinette and using broadband internet. It was a relaxing, refreshing and necessary interlude. We caught up with old friends Francisco, Dennis and Tabatha, Bill and Lorna, and we got a lot done.

The weather in So Cal was amazingly cold, especially after a winter storm front moved through with some rain and clouds. We were grateful NOT to be sailing here then. But once the front pushed through the views were worth the price of admission out over the Bay and down the channel toward the open ocean. And of course we thought alot about Jake just across the way beginning BUDs. You, sir are a better man than I. I would be searching out that bell for sure.

San Diego Bay and Coronado Bridge

We saw some remnants of snow on the ground in the mountains east of San Diego as we drove back to Calexico.
