Sweet Pea Cove-Santa Rosalia

9 May 2022 - We got up early after a bit of a breezy, but restful, night at anchor in Sweet Pea Cove on Isla San Marcos. About the time we were hauling up our anchor Kevin and Wendi on “Kopai” were doing the same. They departed not long after we did and we crossed to Santa Rosalia basically together.

The wind was okay from the south southwest but a nasty swell from the north beat us back. At one point after the wind came up and “Kopai” set her sails, they crossed us and we photographed them at full sail. By that time we were close enough to Santa Rosalia that it didn’t make a lot of sense for us to raise sail so we motored on into the marina.

We got tied up in the slip and checked in with the office before heading off into town. S/V “Kopai” came in right after we tied up, and we saw SV “Stella J” in the marina and S/V “Arpata” tied up on the fuel dock.
