Here we Stay
Today on 29 June Tropical Storm Enrique (the former Hurricane Enrique) is located at approximately North 23 degrees 12 minutes West 108 degrees 18 minutes, about 150 NM southeast of Cabo San Lucas or roughly halfway between Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan on the west coast of the mainland of Mexico.
Enrique is projected to track NW over the Baja peninsula before (likely) recurving to the NE as most all northern hemisphere TS and hurricanes do.
This is precisely why you do not see our tracker tracking toward Baja right now. If it is not very entertaining, we apologize, but neither of us has enough experience with sailing in hurricanes or Tropical Storm weather to make this a reasonable bet. I, for one, don’t plan ever to have that much experience.
So…we’ll see you southbound and down around end of November, after Ole Miss finishes playing football and the hurricane season has settled down. Watch the dots then for entertainment.
