Long Beach Before Shoving Off

Well, we had a few sewing projects we wanted to do before we launched off into the wild blue. So I got to work on the Sailrite LSZ-1. And promptly busted the sewing machine.

The machine is built like a tank and only my own neglect and abuse caused the stoppage. I contacted Sailrite for help; they obviously mistook me for a Millennial for they emailed me links to several of their Youtube videos.

To be perfectly fair, I watched the videos and was able to clear the stoppage and get Old Blue going again. I made a zippered, two handled bag to put zincs in (which are very heavy). I was relatively proud of my work until I tackled something more difficult and Jimena showed me how it was done. She has the knack for doing this stuff.
